Pipeline Copilot (Beta)
Run your CRM in plain English
Configure pipelines, pull reports and keep records current by typing what you need. It only does what you could do yourself, and you can make it ask first.
- Made for teams without a CRM admin or a sales analyst on staff
- Describe how you sell and it builds the pipelines, fields and automations
- Ask a question and get a real report or dashboard back
- Works only inside the permissions you already have
- Admins can make it ask before every change, for the whole account
Auto mode shown. In Strict mode Copilot asks before every change.
At a Glance
Pipeline Copilot is built into Pipeline CRM and is in beta for Pipeline CRM customers. You describe an outcome in plain English and Copilot configures the account to match, building pipelines and stages, custom fields, tags, teams, task templates and automations. It also answers reporting questions as real reports, dashboards and saved list views, and runs everyday records: deals, companies, people, notes, tasks, calendar events and documents generated from your templates. It knows your account rather than CRM in the abstract, and it works strictly inside the permissions each person already has.
Why Copilot
You should not need an admin to run your CRM
Pipeline CRM bends around the way your team sells, and that flexibility used to come with a price: somebody had to know which admin screen to open, and somebody had to know how to build the report. If you do not have a CRM admin or a sales analyst on staff, that work lands on whoever is closest to it.
It configures the CRM, not just the copy
Most CRM AI writes email drafts or summarizes a record. Copilot builds the pipelines, fields, automations, reports and dashboards themselves.
Built for teams without a CRM admin
If nobody on your team is a CRM specialist, that is fine. The person who knows how your team sells describes it, and Copilot does the configuration.
It can only do what you can already do
Copilot works strictly inside each person’s existing permissions, so it can never reach anything they could not already reach themselves.
We publish where it stops
The map further down this page names every gap, including the ones inside features it mostly handles. Better you find the boundary here than after you buy.
How it works
Describe the outcome and Copilot builds it
Pipeline CRM bends around the way your team sells: your stages, your fields, your automations. That flexibility used to come with a price, because somebody had to know which admin screen to open. Copilot turns that into a conversation. It does the building; you keep the judgment.
One paragraph in“We install commercial flooring. Set up a pipeline from inquiry to site visit, estimate, revision and won, add the fields we need for job site and square footage, and start the kickoff tasks when a deal is won.”
What it built
- 1 pipeline, 5 stageseach with a win probability for the forecast
- 14 custom fieldsgrouped, with their dropdown options
- 1 task templatekickoff, site visit, estimate sent, with day offsets
- 1 automationtrigger: stage changes to Won, apply the template
One request, four objects, no admin screens. A person still reviews a structural change before the team relies on it.
The reach
Three kinds of work you can hand over
Copilot is not a search box with a personality. It configures the account, it answers questions about your data, and it runs the everyday records.
Configure the account
You type“Set up my pipeline, stages and fields for a construction business”
- Pipelines and stages, with win probabilities and stage order
- Custom fields in groups with their dropdown options, plus statuses, loss reasons, lead sources and product lines
- Task templates with day offsets, and automations from the trigger through to the actions that follow
Ask for the answer
You type“Show won revenue by lead source for Q2, grouped by month”
- Reports assembled conversationally, grouped and segmented across your own fields
- Dashboards built on request, and saved list views filtered and sorted for reuse
- Deals, companies, people and tasks, which is where its reporting scope stops today
Run the everyday records
You type“Create a deal for Acme at $12,000 in Proposal stage, closing July 15, and assign it to me”
- Deals, companies and people created, updated, found and linked
- Notes by category, tasks it can complete or reschedule, and calendar events
- Documents generated from your existing templates, filled with real data and attached to the record
You stay in control
You decide how much it does on its own
Copilot does work that used to need real product knowledge. That is worth having guardrails around, so the controls came first rather than last.
Confirmation mode
You type“Add Acme as a company and create a deal for their April fit-out”
Created
Acme added, with the April fit-out deal linked to it.
In Auto, Copilot makes the change and tells you what it did.
Waiting for you
Create Acme and a linked deal for the April fit-out?
ConfirmCancel
In Strict, nothing is created, updated or deleted until you confirm in the chat. Looking things up never asks.
Record deletion
You type“Delete the 4 stages we stopped using”
Deleted
4 stages removed. In Strict, Copilot asks you to confirm first.
With deletion allowed, Copilot can remove records and configuration.
Nothing was deleted
Record deletion is turned off for this account.
Blocked is not a mode. With it off, nobody can delete anything through Copilot, records or configuration, in Auto or in Strict.
Where Copilot can reach
Never wider than your own access, whatever you ask it for.
Each person picks Auto or Strict
Everyone starts in Auto and can switch to Strict in the chat whenever they want Copilot to ask first. An admin can enforce Strict for the whole account, which removes the personal switch.
Copilot itself is per user
An admin decides who has Copilot at all, person by person. It is never open to read-only or SuperShare users.
Deletion has its own switch
Turning deletion off is separate from Auto and Strict and holds whichever one that mode is set to. With it off, nobody can delete anything through Copilot, records or configuration.
A person reviews what matters
Structural changes can have effects elsewhere that are not obvious at the moment you make them, so treat them like any other important CRM change and have someone review before you rely on it.

Take the interactive tour
Click through Copilot in a demo account: ask for something in plain English, then set how it makes changes. No signup needed.
The bigger picture
Pipeline CRM gives you real depth without the setup and reporting work that usually takes a specialist, and a person still signs off on the changes that matter.
The limits, published
The honest map of what Copilot touches
Most AI features are described by what they might do. This is the actual surface, including where it stops. Every row that says most of it names its own gap, because you should find the boundary here rather than after you buy.
| Area | How far Copilot goes | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Pipelines and stages | Full | Create, edit and delete pipelines and stages, and set each stage’s win probability and order |
| Custom fields and groups | Full | Create, edit and delete fields, field groups and their dropdown options |
| Automations and task templates | Full | Build, edit, activate or pause them, including multi-step templates with day offsets |
| Deals, companies and people | Full | Create, edit, find and delete records, and filter and save list views |
| Calendar and agenda | Full | Create, edit and delete tasks and events, mark them complete, and link them to a record |
| Reporting | Most of it | Build, save and rename reports. It cannot delete a report or add one to a view |
| Dashboards | Most of it | Create, rename, save, and add or remove tiles. It cannot delete a dashboard |
| Tags | Most of it | Manage the tag lists. It cannot apply a tag to one specific record |
| Teams | Most of it | Create, rename and delete a team. It cannot add members to one |
| Activity feed | Most of it | Read the feed and add notes. It cannot edit or delete an entry once it is logged |
| Documents | Read only | Generate documents from your existing templates. It cannot author the templates |
| Goals | Read only | Show a goal as a dashboard tile. It cannot set or change one |
And what it does not do at all
- Send email or run outreach, which a separate AI email assistant handles, and nothing at all with phone, calls, SMS or the dialer
- Set up or manage integrations, app installs, API keys or webhooks, beyond a webhook used as an automation action
- Anything in the Projects area, including project tasks, project templates and milestones
- Create, edit or deactivate users, assign roles, permissions or seats, or manage login security
- Read files you have uploaded, author document templates, or merge and de-duplicate records
- Account settings, branding, currencies, billing, data import and export, or set itself up
A structural change should be reviewed by a person before your team relies on it. That is what the controls above are for.

Frequently Asked Questions
What teams ask before they turn it on. If yours is not here, live chat is staffed by people who use the product.
What can Pipeline Copilot actually do?
Copilot configures and runs the CRM from plain-language requests. It builds pipelines and stages with win probabilities, custom fields and field groups, tags, teams, task templates and automations. It builds reports, dashboards and saved list views when you ask a question. And it handles everyday records: creating and updating deals, companies and people, logging notes and tasks, managing calendar events, and generating documents from your templates. It works only inside the permissions you already have.
How is this different from the AI in other CRMs?
Most CRM AI writes email drafts or summarizes a record for you. Copilot builds the pipelines, fields, automations, reports and dashboards themselves, which is the work that normally needs someone who knows the product well. It also works strictly inside each person’s existing permissions, and we publish the full map of where it stops rather than describing only what it might do.
Do we need a CRM admin or an analyst to get value from it?
No. Copilot is built for teams that do not have one. The person who knows how your team sells describes the outcome, and Copilot does the configuration. Larger rollouts, or ones that need data imported from another CRM, still usually take a Customer Success manager and an onboarding package.
What will Copilot not do?
Copilot works inside Pipeline CRM and does not send email or run outreach, which a separate AI email assistant handles, and it does nothing with phone, calls, SMS or the dialer. It accepts text rather than images or attachments, it cannot read files you have uploaded, and it lives in the web app rather than the mobile apps. It does not set up integrations, create users or seats, or work in the Projects area, and it works with the current state of your records rather than their history. It also cannot judge what structure is right for your business, so a person should review any structural change before you rely on it.
Can someone use Copilot to see or change data they should not?
No. Copilot works strictly within the permissions each person already has, so it can never see or touch anything that person could not already reach through the interface. It is never open to read-only or SuperShare users, and an admin can switch it off per user, enforce Strict mode for the whole account, or block record and configuration deletion with a separate switch.
Is this ChatGPT, or your own AI model?
Neither. Copilot runs on large language models from third-party AI providers, which are listed in our Trust Center. Content is sent to a provider only when someone makes a request, and the providers do not use it to train their models. What is unique to Pipeline CRM, and built entirely by us, is everything Copilot does inside the product.
Does Copilot cost anything?
Not during the beta, and nothing used during the beta is ever billed. Pricing after the beta has not been announced, and we will let customers know before any pricing takes effect.
How do we turn Copilot on?
An admin controls it in Account Settings, under More, then AI Copilot: who on the team has it, whether Strict mode is enforced for everyone, and whether it can delete anything. Copilot is reaching customer accounts in stages, so if AI Copilot isn’t in your Settings yet, it’s on the way. Ask us and we’ll tell you when your account gets it. If you are trying Pipeline CRM and want Copilot in your trial, ask us and we can switch it on for your account.
