Every Won Deal, Straight to Your Commission Sheet

When a deal is won in Pipeline CRM, the deal and its amount land in your commission spreadsheet or comp tool. Built and maintained for you.

The moment a deal moves to Won, we append a commission row, the rep, the deal, the amount, and the close date, to the destination you already use to run payouts. It’s a one-way export from Pipeline CRM into your Google Sheet or your commission tool, scoped to the way you pay reps. No end-of-month CSV export, no retyping won deals into a payout tracker, no copy and paste.

What lands in your commission sheet

The rep

The deal owner from Pipeline CRM, so each payout row is attributed to the right salesperson.

The deal and amount

The deal name and its value, written into the columns your commission math already runs on.

The close date

The date the deal was won, so the row falls into the right payout period.

Overview

At a Glance

Commission export for Pipeline CRM is a managed Pipeline Connect workflow that turns a won deal into a commission row in the payout destination you already use. When a deal reaches Won, we append the rep, the deal, the amount, and the close date. The data flows one way, from Pipeline CRM into your commission sheet, and the Pipeline CRM team builds and maintains the connection for you.

Why it matters

Reconcile commissions by hand, or let every won deal post itself

The clearest way to see what this workflow is worth: the end-of-period scramble it deletes, next to what it makes automatic on every won deal.

Doing it by hand

Every payout period

  1. Filter Pipeline CRM for the deals won this period
  2. Export them to CSV
  3. Retype rep, deal, amount, and close date into the payout sheet
  4. Reconcile against the CRM again to catch anything missed
  5. Do it all over next period

With Pipeline Connect

The deal is won, the row is already there

  • Every won deal posts a commission row on its own
  • Rep, deal, amount, and close date land in the right columns
  • Mapped to your comp plan, so the numbers add up as they arrive
  • No CSV export and no retyping into a payout tracker
  • Monitored and maintained for you

automatic  ·  always current  ·  nothing to retype

How it works

Three steps to automatic commission rows

1

Scope

Tell us your destination, a Google Sheet you own or your commission tool, and how you pay reps, so we know which deal fields map to which payout columns.

2

Build & test

We connect Pipeline CRM to your destination, map the fields to your comp plan, and test against real won deals so the rows land exactly where they should.

3

Go live

From then on, every won deal appends a commission row on its own. Because we scope each build to your comp plan, we confirm the timeline when we scope yours.

What you need

What you’ll need to get started

Most teams already have everything below. Here’s how the responsibility splits between you and the Pipeline CRM team.

You provide

  • An active Pipeline CRM account with API access, so we can catch each deal as it’s won
  • A destination: a Google Sheet you own, or a commission tool (for example QuotaPath) on a paid plan with API access, plus an API token from that account
  • Your commission structure: which deal fields map to which payout columns, so we build the export the way you actually pay reps

We handle

  • The connection into Pipeline CRM, so a won deal triggers the export with no action from you
  • Mapping your deal fields to the payout columns in your destination
  • Building and testing the export against real won deals before you rely on it
  • Ongoing monitoring and maintenance, with fixes if your destination changes on its side
What gets exported

One trigger, one commission row, every time

The export runs one way, from Pipeline CRM into your commission destination. A won deal is the only trigger, and a single payout row is the result. Nothing writes back into your CRM.

The trigger

A deal reaches Won in Pipeline CRM

That status change is the only thing that fires the export. One won deal, one commission row.

A commission row is appendedWe add a new row to your Google Sheet or push the deal into your commission tool, without touching the rows already there.
The fields land where your comp math expects themRep, deal, amount, and close date map to the payout columns we set up with you during scoping.
Your CRM stays untouchedThe flow is one-way out of Pipeline CRM. No commission data is written back into your deals.

Here is a typical field mapping for a won deal. We confirm the exact source fields and destination columns against your comp plan when we scope your build.

Who it’s for

Who runs commissions off won deals

Scenario 1: Ops lead reconciling a payout spreadsheet every month

The situation: An operations lead spends the start of every month filtering Pipeline CRM for won deals, exporting them, and retyping rep, deal, amount, and close date into the commission spreadsheet the finance team runs payouts from. A missed deal means a missed payout.

With Pipeline Connect: Every won deal appends its own commission row to the spreadsheet, mapped to the payout columns. The month-end retyping and the reconciliation pass both disappear.

Verdict: If your commission sheet is filled in by hand, Pipeline Connect can build the export once as part of your plan, from $99/month. Talk to us to scope yours.

Scenario 2: Finance team feeding a dedicated commission tool

The situation: A finance team runs payouts in a commission tool like QuotaPath, but every won deal still has to be entered by hand or imported in batches, so the tool is always a step behind the CRM.

With Pipeline Connect: Each won deal is pushed into the commission tool as it closes, so the payout system stays in step with Pipeline CRM without a manual import. Note that a commission tool needs a paid plan with API access on your side.

Verdict: If your comp tool lags your CRM, Pipeline Connect can wire the export into it. Because comp logic is specific to your team, we scope the mapping and confirm the timeline with you.

Scenario 3: Sales leader who wants reps to trust the numbers

The situation: A sales leader fields the same questions every payout period, why a deal is missing, why an amount looks off, because commission data is retyped from the CRM and small errors creep in.

With Pipeline Connect: The commission row is written straight from the won deal, so the rep, deal, amount, and close date match Pipeline CRM. Reps trust the sheet because it comes from the same source they closed in.

Verdict: If retyping errors erode trust in payouts, Pipeline Connect can make the export automatic, from $99/month as part of your plan. Talk to us to scope yours.

The bottom line
~10 min
saved on every won deal, no CSV export or retyping into the payout sheet

Win the deal in Pipeline CRM and the commission row is already in your payout sheet. No month-end export, no retyping.

Custom scope, custom quote: because commission mapping is specific to your comp plan, we confirm your scope on a short call, and an unusually complex structure is quoted before we build. Pipeline Connect does not include the cost of any commission tool you connect; a commission tool needs its own paid plan with API access, while a Google Sheet destination does not. Prices in USD.

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find what you need? Contact our team.

What triggers the commission export?

A deal reaching Won in Pipeline CRM. That status change is the only trigger. When it happens, we append a commission row, the rep, the deal, the amount, and the close date, to your destination. Deals that are still open or that you mark lost do not fire the export.

Where can the commission data go?

Either a Google Sheet you own, or a commission tool such as QuotaPath. A Google Sheet destination needs no extra subscription. A commission tool needs its own paid plan with API access and an API token you generate in that account, which you bring to the build.

Is this a two-way sync?

No. The export is one-way, out of Pipeline CRM and into your commission destination. Commission data is never written back into your CRM, and the workflow does not move money; it exports the deal and amount figures your payout process runs on.

Can you match how we pay reps?

Yes, that’s why we scope the build. Because every team’s commission structure is different, we set up the field mapping from your deal data to your payout columns during scoping, so the rows land the way your comp math expects. An unusually complex structure is quoted before we build.

How long does it take to set up?

The timeline depends on scope. A straightforward export into a Google Sheet is quick to stand up; a commission tool with a detailed comp plan takes longer to map and test. We confirm the timeline with you when we scope your build.

How is this different from Google Sheets Data Sync?

The Google Sheets Data Sync mirrors your whole Pipeline CRM, people, deals, and activities, into a spreadsheet on a schedule. Commission export is event-driven and focused: one won deal produces one payout row, mapped to your comp plan, in a sheet or a commission tool. Use the sync for full-CRM reporting; use this to feed your payout process.

What does it cost?

Commission export is part of Pipeline Connect, which starts at $99/month for up to 5 integrations and $249/month for up to 15, with a $0 setup fee and no contracts. Your commission export counts as one integration in your plan. An unusually complex comp structure is quoted before we build. A Pipeline CRM subscription is required, starting at $25/user/month (billed annually).
