Google Sheets + Pipeline CRM Integration

Your Pipeline CRM data, refreshed in Google Sheets on a schedule you set.

Every scheduled sync writes your latest people, deals, and activities into a Google Sheet you own. Your reports, pivot tables, and dashboards recalculate on current CRM numbers. No manual CSV exports, no add-in to install, no copy-paste. The sync refreshes your data tabs in place and leaves the analysis tabs, formulas, and charts you built on top untouched.

Overview

At a Glance

Google Sheets Data Sync is a managed Pipeline Connect integration that exports your Pipeline CRM people, deals, and activities into a Google Sheet you own, on a schedule you set. The data flows one way, from Pipeline CRM into your sheet, so your spreadsheet reports, pivot tables, and dashboards recalculate on current CRM numbers with no manual exports and no add-in to install. The Pipeline CRM team builds and runs the connection for you for $99/month, refreshing only the raw data tabs and leaving your formulas and charts in place. Built for operations, analyst, and admin teams that live in spreadsheets and want their numbers current without the export grind.

Why it matters

The export grind, or none of it

The clearest way to see what a managed sync is worth: the weekly busywork it deletes, next to what it makes automatic.

Doing it by hand

Every report refresh

  1. Open Pipeline CRM and filter the people, deals, or activities you need
  2. Export each list to CSV, one at a time
  3. Paste each CSV into the right tab, lining columns up by hand
  4. Repair the formulas and named ranges that shifted when rows moved
  5. Do it again for the next report, and again next week

~15 minutes per refresh  ·  stale by Monday  ·  broken formulas

With Pipeline Connect

It refreshes itself

  • People, deals, and activities written to their tabs on your schedule
  • Records matched on their Pipeline CRM record ID and updated in place, never duplicated
  • Your analysis tabs, formulas, and charts left untouched
  • A status cell shows the time of the last successful sync
  • Connection monitored and maintained for you

hands-off  ·  current data  ·  formulas intact

How it works

Three steps to a self-refreshing sheet

1

Connect

Connect your Google account and point us at the spreadsheet you want kept current. Pipeline CRM’s team handles the setup for you.

2

Map

We map your Pipeline CRM people, deals, and activities to your sheet’s exact column layout, including any custom fields you report on.

3

Sync

On the schedule you choose (daily, weekly, or monthly), your data tabs refresh in place. Live in 5 business days from signup.

What you need

What you’ll need to get started

The prerequisite here is light. If you already keep reports in Google Sheets, you have what you need. Here is how the work splits between you and the Pipeline CRM team during onboarding.

You provide

  • A Google account with access to the spreadsheet you want to keep in sync
  • The Google Sheet you want the data written to (an existing one or a blank one is fine)
  • The fields and layout you report on, so we match your columns during mapping
  • ~15 minutes to authorize the connection during onboarding

We handle

  • OAuth connection to your Google account so we can write to the sheet, kept live for you
  • Field-mapping configuration, the default people, deals, and activities columns plus any custom fields you report on
  • Schedule setup at the daily, weekly, or monthly cadence you choose
  • End-to-end testing with a live test sync before we turn it on
  • Ongoing monitoring and maintenance, with fixes if Google changes anything on their side
What syncs

Your CRM changes. Your sheet already knows

One thing happens on its own: the scheduled sync runs. Everything after that is work your team no longer does by hand.

Action

The scheduled sync runs

On the cadence you set. Nothing for your team to trigger.

People, deals, and activities land in their tabsEach entity gets its own tab, one row per record, written straight from the Pipeline CRM API into your sheet.
Existing rows update in placeRecords are matched on their Pipeline CRM record ID, so a changed deal updates its row instead of adding a duplicate.
Your reports recalculate, your build stays intactOnly the raw data tabs refresh. Your pivot tables, formulas, and charts recalculate on current numbers.

Here is exactly what moves, field by field. The sync writes to your sheet through the Google Sheets API using A1-notation ranges (for example People!A:Z), one row per record, with values entered as if typed in the sheet so dates and numbers stay real dates and numbers. Field mapping is set up by the Pipeline CRM team during your 5-business-day onboarding; the defaults below cover most reporting setups, and custom fields are mapped on request.

Who it’s for

Who runs Pipeline CRM data into Google Sheets

Scenario 1: RevOps team running a board dashboard off Sheets

The situation: A 40-person software company builds its weekly board and pipeline dashboard in Google Sheets. Every Sunday night the sales ops manager exports people, deals, and activities from the CRM, pastes them into three tabs, and fixes the pivot tables that shifted. It takes the better part of an hour, and by midweek the numbers are already stale.

With Pipeline Connect: A weekly scheduled sync writes the three tabs on its own, matched on record ID so nothing duplicates. The dashboard recalculates on current numbers, the pivot tables and charts stay exactly as built, and Sunday night is free again.

Verdict: If someone rebuilds the same dashboard export every week, Pipeline Connect makes the refresh automatic for $99/month and the board deck is always current.

Scenario 2: Agency recalculating rep commissions every month

The situation: A 25-person agency runs its rep commission model in a Google Sheet fed by a monthly deals export. Finance pulls closed-won deals, drops them in, and reconciles by hand. A mispasted column or a missed deal throws the whole payout calculation off, and the ops person spends a morning tracing it.

With Pipeline Connect: A monthly scheduled sync refreshes the deals tab from the CRM API in place, keyed on deal ID, so the commission formulas recalculate on complete, current data. The analysis tabs and formulas are never touched, so there is nothing to reconcile.

Verdict: If a payout model depends on a clean monthly export, Pipeline Connect removes the manual paste and the reconciliation for $99/month.

Scenario 3: Analyst who gave up on a brittle connector

The situation: A 60-person services firm has a business analyst maintaining a forecast model in Sheets. A patchwork of a Zapier zap and a marketplace add-on used to feed it, but the add-on needed a manual re-run and the zap broke whenever a field was renamed. The analyst went back to CSV exports because at least those were predictable.

With Pipeline Connect: Pipeline CRM’s team sets up and maintains a daily scheduled sync into the model’s data tabs. Our team monitors the connection and handles fixes, so the analyst stops babysitting connectors and works on the forecast instead.

Verdict: If a spreadsheet model keeps outliving its data pipe, Pipeline Connect gives it a managed one for $99/month, with 4 more integrations of your choosing included.

How does Google Sheets Data Sync work?

On the schedule you choose, our integration reads your people, deals, and activities from the Pipeline CRM API and writes them into a Google Sheet you own. Each entity gets its own tab, with one row per record. Records are matched on their Pipeline CRM record ID, so an existing row is updated in place rather than duplicated. Only the raw data tabs are refreshed, so your pivot tables, formulas, and charts recalculate on current numbers without being overwritten. A status cell shows the time of the last successful sync.

Which direction does the data flow, and can it write back to Pipeline CRM?

The data flows one way, from Pipeline CRM into your Google Sheet. Edits you make in the sheet are not sent back to Pipeline CRM, and the next scheduled sync will refresh the data tabs from the CRM. If you need changes to flow in both directions, that is a custom scope our team can quote separately. For most reporting and dashboard use, the one-way export is what keeps the sheet clean and predictable.

How often does it sync?

You choose the cadence during onboarding: daily, weekly, or monthly. The sync runs on that schedule rather than the moment a record changes in Pipeline CRM, which is why we describe it as a scheduled export. Most reporting teams pick weekly for board and pipeline dashboards, or daily when a forecast model needs to stay close to current.

Will it overwrite my formulas, charts, or analysis tabs?

No. The sync only writes to the raw data tabs it manages (People, Deals, Activities, and a small status tab). Any analysis tabs, pivot tables, formulas, and charts you build on top of that data are left untouched. They simply recalculate on the refreshed numbers. We confirm exactly which tabs the sync owns with you during setup, so there is no surprise about what gets written.

Do I need to install a Google Sheets add-on?

No. This is a fully managed connection run by the Pipeline CRM team, not the self-serve Google Sheets add-on you install from the Google Workspace Marketplace. There is nothing to install, no button to click to refresh, and nothing to re-run by hand. You authorize your Google account once during onboarding and the sync runs on your schedule from then on.

How long does setup take?

Pipeline Connect goes live in 5 business days from the moment you authorize your Google account during onboarding. You do not configure anything yourself. Our team handles connecting your account, mapping your Pipeline CRM fields to your sheet’s columns, setting your sync schedule, and testing end to end with a live test sync before turning it on. Most customers see their sheet refreshing on schedule within a week of signing up.

How is this different from CSV exports or a Zapier or add-on setup?

CSV exports, marketplace add-ons, and Zapier all put the work and the maintenance on you: you run the export, you patch the connection when a field changes, and you usually find out it broke from a stale report. Pipeline Connect is fully managed for $99/month. Our team builds the sync to a tested template, maps it to how Pipeline CRM structures people, deals, and activities, monitors it, and fixes it if it breaks. There is no add-on to install, no Zapier subscription, and no third-party dashboard to log into. One bill from Pipeline CRM covers everything. If you prefer to build with our public API yourself, that path is available too.
